Born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina, Will Poynor fell in love with the outdoors at a young age and got into photography in high school. Will went to Clemson University, where he studied Landscape Architecture. This major combined his passion for the outdoors with his knack for the arts. He has worked alongside civil engineers, contractors, and other designers since his time outside of school. Will was first exposed to drone mapping with a company he worked for that was exploring the use of LiDAR for surveying. He then went on to work for another company that incorporated drones, but used the aerial imagery for construction inspections and modeling. Will believes that that drone technology is the promising future of real estate development, but it opens the door for a myriad of other applications as well! In his free time, Will spends time in nature with his dog Coal, and can be found on or near water. Fishing is his main outlet these days, as well as wakesurfing and pickleball. He enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories.
